Join the We’d Rather Fly team for a virtual walk or run through or around the island of O’ahu, Hawaii during the month of October
Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve run a lot of marathons and that I love to travel. Since this pandemic began, I’ve been walking on average 35 miles per week.
Many organized races have been canceled or converted to virtual races, but honestly, I had little interest in walking or running imaginary races.
Until now, that is!
I’VE SIGNED UP TO WALK – VIRTUALLY – AROUND O’AHU, HAWAII!!!
Hawaiian Airlines is hosting the Holoholo Challenge, which means to go out. You’ll have the entire month of October to walk, jog, run (or even skip!) the distance of the virtual course you selected. You can choose 50 miles (the virtual course of Mauka to Makai – Mountain to Ocean), or 130 miles (the virtual course around the island of O’ahu). The price is the same, whichever you choose.
Registration is cheap, and will keep you on your toes for the month of October. Plus, you’ll also receive a cool tank (female) or tshirt (male), a bib and even a finishers medal.
I really miss Hawaii (I was supposed to be there in July). While this may not be the next best thing to being there, I think it’ll be fun. Simply sign up and then track your mileage through the website as you go, and once you’ve reached your course distance, the challenge is complete.
I signed up, and maybe you’d like to run or walk through or around O’ahu with me? I even created a team – it just sounded like a fun thing to do, and I’d love to walk or run with you.
Below is a referral link. If you use it, I’ll get a few Hawaiian Airline miles (which maybe someday I’ll use to hop from one island to another).
I also created a team called WE’D RATHER FLY and it would be great if you could join the team.

How do I report my miles to date? Or do we do that at the end?

I had the same issue and finally figured it out after emailing for help. I’ll forward the email to you.
