If  you are a golfer, here’s some news you want to read, first from US Air, and second from KLM and Air France.

Get 3X US Airway Miles for Booking Tee Times

US Airways has joined forces with Thanks Again — which has moved into the golfing arena with an advance tee time bookings.  When you register for Thanks Again and use a registered card to book your next golf tee time, you will earn 3 miles per $1 spent at more than 1,000 golf courses around the world.  Prior to this, I’ve mainly seen Thanks Again associated with airport retailers.

This is the link to book golf tee times through Thanks Again.  I am not a golfer, but this list looks quite comprehensive, and the prices quite competitive.  (note: you can designate other airlines to earn miles for Thanks Again – what I don’t know is if this tee time promotion is unique to US Airways or whether you can  insteaddesignate other airlines to earn triple miles).

No Fee to Fly with Golf Bags on KLM and Air France!

Did you know that KLM andAir France love golfers?  First, they have a Flying Blue Golf website, containing a lot of golfing-related information, offerings and inspiring stories (similar to their Flying Blue Running website, which I am a contributing author at).   Second, (as I learned from my friend Paul, who’s become an avid golfer) if you register as a member of Flying Blue Golf, your golf clubs ship free on KLM and Air France!!

2. Go to the MyClub page
3. Click on ‘Create voucher’
4. Fill out the form with your flightdetails
5. Click on ‘Create voucher’
6. Print the voucher
7. Present your voucher at the check-in desk. Make sure you print a voucher for your return trip as well!
