I recently reported on the clusterfiasco of trying to register my Wells Fargo card on my Isis Mobile Wallet app on my iPhone. You can read it here.
After I posted that, I honestly had given up. I was beyond mad and beyond tired of reciting my name, address and mother’s maiden name to strangers who didn’t seem to understand the first thing about Isis Mobile Wallet or who to contact to rectify it.
A funny thing happened the following day, and I’m not sure if it was my persistent phone calls, my posting on twitter about the matter, or my blogging, that precipitated it, but representatives from the executive offices at both Isis Wallet and Wells Fargo reached out to me. These were (finally) contacts who were intelligent and knew the questions to ask and steps to take with the information.
Each of the representatives told me that they would work to try to figure out why the system was rejecting my attempts to register my Wells Fargo card with the Isis Mobile Wallet app.
Each day over the past few days, I gave it another try, but the same thing happened: it appeared that the Wells Fargo card was loading to Isis Mobile Wallet, but then, at the last moment it disappeared from the screen.
Today was different. It worked. I’m up and running!!
I have no idea if the problem was on Isis’ end or Wells Fargo’s end. Nor do I know if it was a system-wide glitch, or a problem particular to only me. Whatever it was, it has now been corrected. Thank you Roderick from Isis and Jennifer from Wells Fargo. Oh, and thank you Wells Fargo for crediting $100 to my account for my troubles and my inability to utilize their special promotion.
