The new American Express Centurion Lounge recently opened. It is located in Terminal B, on the fourth floor, after security.
I visited the lounge last week (and might be back there again tomorrow) and I have only good things to say. I was there on a Sunday morning so it was quiet. My flight was delayed (American Airlines, sigh) so it filled up a bit as noon approached, but it was never crowded.
In addition to the traditional bar room, food room and business areas, there were plenty of other rooms, each nicely decorated. There was even a very modern phone room and another room called the Study.
This lounge does not have massage facilities. It does have one shower, but it was not open yet.
The food was all good – healthy and fresh – I got to see both breakfast and lunch, and everything I tried was light years better than most domestic lounges. Also, I have always found the alcohol selection – including the wine selection – at Centurion Lounges to be excellent.
Last but not least, the pictures on the wall were largely of New York celebrities. Dave was particularly happy to see a photo of his friends, the Ramones, hanging on the wall.
Below are some photos in no particular order.
On a covid note, people respected distance and wore masks.
Happy travels!

Pro Tip: If you don’t have plenty of time before your flight, don’t risk it. There is a 30% chance the elevators that take you to the lounge will break mid ride.

are you talking about the old lounge or the new one that just recently opened?
