Get a 1X $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a total of $150+ on all room charges, including room rate, at Hyatt Place hotels between 11/28/14 & 2/28/15. Check out must occur on or before 2/28/15 to be eligible for the credit.
Although the terms of the Amex offer state that the offer excludes physical and e-gift card purchases, DansDeals however reports that gift cards actually bought at Hyatt Place properties received “the familiar ‘Congrats!’ email from AMEX.” This suggests that a gift card purchase at a hotel property will be treated as a qualifying transaction for the Amex offer
I have three of these offers saved to my Amex cards, and will be at a Hyatt Place tomorrow. You bet I will see if the property sells gift cards, and, if they do, I will try to make such a purchase! (Note, do this at your own risk, as it is possible that Amex can later determine that a transaction such as this is not a qualifying transaction for the issuance of the $50 statement credit).
