I’m sure I am not alone in saying that I am beyond grief-stricken by the situation in Israel. Words fail me at this time.

Dina Ben Tal Ganancia, the CEO of  El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (EL AL) has issued the following statement on behalf of EL AL:

At this moment, the State of Israel finds itself facing a challenging and deeply painful situation, one that has placed unprecedented demands on all of us at EL AL, both in the air and on the ground, both in Israel and around the world. We are working tirelessly to navigate this difficult period, ensuring that we can continue operating our flight schedule and even expand it significantly.

Our primary goal is to bring tens of thousands of Israelis safely back to their families and to vital positions that support the ongoing campaign. Simultaneously, we are committed to facilitating the safe departure of those who wish to leave the country.

Understanding the unique circumstances, we have introduced a flexible policy that allows you to easily cancel or modify your bookings. Additionally, we have adjusted our pricing to offer fixed rates tailored to different groups, making it possible for anyone interested to return to Israel with us.

Our customer service hotline is available 24/7 and is now further reinforced with dedicated volunteers and additional phone lines. Please bear in mind that our hotline is handling an unprecedented volume of calls, and we are operating with a reduced workforce. Many of our team members have been called upon for military reserve service, and others are facing personal hardships. Rest assured, we are doing our utmost to assist everyone promptly.

It’s important to highlight that several essential operations, such as flight cancellations and obtaining credit vouchers for future use, can be easily performed through the EL AL website, our mobile app, or with your travel agent.
