I frequently get emails from Hilton Grand Vacations offering fabulous vacation packages, the only hitch being the requirement to attend sales presentations of Hilton Grand Vacations Clubs.
The most recent email offered a New York City Vacation Package, all for $359, including:
- 3 days and 2 nights at a Hilton Worldwide hotel
- $100 in Elevated Rewards Dollars
- $100 Spend a Night on Us certificate good for your next stay at a Hilton Worldwide portfolio hotel
- 5,000 Hilton HHonors™ Bonus Point
This is a great deal and I really would like to accept one of these offers one of these days – maybe when I’m less busy, if that ever happens.
Equally, or perhaps even more interesting, is the sweepstakes information that appeared when I scrolled down on the Hilton Grand Vacations email and then opened the link to this:
Enter the Hilton Grand Vacations HHonors™ Bonus Points Sweepstakes for your chance to win the Grand Prize of 10 Million HHonors Bonus Points. Plus, you’ll be registered for our monthly drawing of 500,000 HHonors Bonus Points! Hilton HHonors Bonus Points can be used for stays at Hilton HHonors hotels, cruises, once-in-a-lifetime vacation packages, merchandise and more.
So, in addition to the 10 Million HHonors points grand prize, there’s a weekly drawing for 500,000 HHonors points. Granted 500,000 HHonors doesn’t go as far as it used to, but I’ll gladly take it!! You can enter the contest Here.

Not worth entering the contest for me. I would equate this to entering a contest at the mall for free windows or siding. You are giving them your phone number and permission to contact you. Never trust a timeshare company is my motto.

The sales pitch deal is a con which could cost you not only your time but your vacations.
Firstly, Hilton Grand Vacations is not Hilton company, it is a separate company that run by very savvy scam artists.
1) They charge upfront substantial amount for those 2 nights and write the contract with you that there is NO REFUND for any reasons.
2) They put you on the mercy of their “phone agent” with severe restrictions on the days you can use it.
And the biggest kicker?!
3)They put you in NON-Hilton 2 star hotel where the regular price per night is much lower than the non-refundable money you already paid!
I went thru that and I had to go up high level with my credit card company and the Hilton management to return my money after 2 months of fighting.
So be aware of all the details in advance, please.
No comment on the contest since I will stay away from anything that has
Hilton Grand Vacations
name on it.
Good luck.
