Two days in a row of big Hyatt news. Yesterday, World of Hyatt and American Airlines Aadvantage announced a loyalty collaboration between the two programs whereby members of each program can earn reciprocal benefits. You can learn more about this and link your programs here.
Today’s anticipated news is that World of Hyatt now welcomes Joie de Vivre Hotels
Beginning today, Joie de Vivre is the next former Two Roads Hospitality brand to join the World of Hyatt loyalty program for stays beginning tomorrow May 15, 2019.
About six weeks ago Thompson Hotels, was integrated into the World of Hyatt program (see, HELLO THOMPSON, WELL HELLO THOMPSON . . Thompson Hotels Integrated into World of Hyatt).
Today’s Joie de Vivre integration includes 14 hotels in the United States, for stays starting May 15, 2019.
In New York City, this includes the Park South Hotel and the Hotel 50 Bowery, both category 5 hotels.
In San Francisco, the Hotel Kabuki (category 5), the Laurel Inn (category 5) and the Hotel Del Sol, a category 4 hotel (yay, you can use a free night cert here!). In Oakland, the Waterfront Hotel, also a category 4 hotel (yay, again!). In Carmel, there’s the Carmel Valley Ranch (category 5), and in Sunnyvale, the Wild Palms Hotel (category 3). In Santa Clara, the Avatar (category 3), and in Mountain View, the Avante (category 4).
In Chicago, there are three hotels: Chicago Athletic Association (category 4), The Talbott Hotel (category 3), and Hotel Lincoln (category 3).
In Baltimore, Hotel Revival (category 2).

Also, two Thompson hotels in Mexico are now also integrated into the World of Hyatt program: Thompson Playa del Carmen Main House (category 3) and Thompson Beach House (category 5), for stays starting May 15, 2019.
Additionally, as a bonus, World of Hyatt members can earn 2,000 Bonus Points for their first qualifying stay exploring participating hotels in each of the new brands, for up to 8,000 Bonus Points, as well as a free night when they try all four brands. See here for full details.
Additionally, all World of Hyatt credit card holders will earn an additional 4x Bonus Points when spending at participating Joie de Vivre Hotels. Hyatt credit card holders will earn an additional 3x Bonus Points.

I’m actually very excited about these newest hotels. They are in cities that I like to travel to, so it’s nice to have even more options available to me.
