Some hotels just know how to do things right. I’ve always felt that way about Kimpton Hotels. To me, Kimpton Hotels represent everything that’s right about luxury boutique hotels, without any negative attitude. I only have two complaints about Kimpton Hotels. First, there aren’t enough of them. Second, they can sometimes be out of my price range. Maybe its all the free wine that gives me a rosy feeling about Kimpton Hotels, but I think its so much more.
The latest email update I received from Kimpton was all about Fitness and Travel – from wellness packages, to yoga classes, to even running with the hotels’ general managers!
I clicked on the email link, and the September Newsletter on the website said:
Don’t let your travel schedule put the kibosh on your fitness routine. At participating Kimpton hotels nationwide, we help you stay on track with:
- Yoga kits (available at the front desk)
- Joy Bauer’s “Travel Healthy”in-room dining menus
- Complimentary bikes and helmets to tour the town
- Walking/running maps to see the sights on foot
Run with a Kimpton GM
Some of our locations invite you to run with the general manager or another health-conscious employee. It’s like having a tour guide for a running partner. Ask about it at the following hotels: (Palomar San Francisco, Palomar San Diego, Palomar Chicago, Palomar Dallas and Monaco Portland)
The next time I stay at one of these hotels – watch out general managers – I’m going running with you!
