I recently spent a week at three different hotels in Bali, Alila Villas Uluwatu, Hyatt Regency Bali and Andaz Bali. Since my flight home from Indonesia was from Jakarta, I decided to spend two nights at the brand new Park Hyatt Jakarta.
I had heard that the Park Hyatt Jakarta was incredible, but nothing quite prepared me for just how wonderful the hotel is. If I could use all of the superlative words in the dictionary, it wouldn’t be enough. The Park Hyatt Jakarta is a design sensation and the epitome of modern elegance and luxury.
Amazingly, the hotel is a category 4 World of Hyatt Hotel. I used a category 1-4 free night certificate for one night, and 18,000 points for the second night.
I was upgraded to a premium corner suite, the Park Suite Deluxe Monas View. The suite is 127 square meters, with floor to ceiling windows and decor to die for!
Here is a video walk-through of the suite! Tell me this isn’t fabulous!!

OMG the main bathroom is fabulous!
We received a box of chocolate pralines on our second night at the hotel (or maybe the first night).
As a Globalist, I was invited to the Social Hour each evening in The Bar, where I could have a complimentary cocktail and a selection of hors d’oeuvres.
Breakfast was served in The Dining Room. At first I thought that this was the entire menu, but there is also a full buffet which was great.
The Spa, the Fitness Center and the Pool.
The pool is gorgeous!
The Fitness Center has a nice view of Jakarta (photo: Hyatt.com)
The spa has beautiful treatment rooms and relaxation rooms as well as separate pool and jacuzzi/saunas for men and women.
I don’t know Jakarta at all so it is hard for me to say how I felt about the city or the neighborhood surrounding the hotel. Honestly, we liked the hotel so much that we chose not to venture far. I will say that there was a ton of traffic at all times, and even crossing the road seemed somewhat treacherous.
Special thanks to Fredrik Harfors, the General Manager, and Fenti Aryanim, Guest Experience Manager, and the entire team, for making the hotel and my stay so special.
