This morning as I turned on my computer, an enticing “error fare” message popped up from Secret Flying. (I have since learned that Fly4Free first listed this deal). The Twitter post said GO GO GO !!!:
I WENT, WENT, WENT.
Honestly, I had no present plans to go to Zurich or to Phuket, and my travel is kind of booked up for the year, but the twitchy fingers took over. I clicked the link, and it went to Kayak, and then to a travel company I’d never heard of: Rumbo. By then, the price had skyrocketed to 7 Euro for a RT airfare on Edelweiss Air from Zurich to Phuket.
On a lark, I booked the Zurich-Phuket deal. I received a booking number from Zumbo. Although the message said I should go pack my bags, I think I’ll wait a little while. This might just fall into the “too good to be true” category.
A few minutes later, Secret Flying updated the Edelweiss sale to include flights from Zurich to locations such as Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Cape Town, South Africa, Havana, Cuba and
Calgary, Canada for similarly ridiculous prices.
Were you able to take advantage of any of these deals?
