While we’re on the topic of the Boston Marathon today . . .
The feature-length documentary, Boston, narrated by Matt Damon about the world’s most legendary race – the Boston Marathon – arrives on Digital December 5 and On Demand December 19 from Lionsgate.
The Boston Marathon’s century-plus history and post-terrorist-attack resiliency are detailed in this revealing and moving documentary that is rated 100% Certified Fresh by all critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Boston includes one of only four film scores ever recorded by the Boston Symphony Orchestra (Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, and Mystic River being the others)
Boston chronicles the story of the iconic race from its humble 15-runner origins to the present day. In addition to highlighting the event as the oldest annually contested marathon in the world, the film showcases many of the most important moments in the race’s century-plus history, including the tragic events of 2013 and the preparations for – and eventual running of – the 118th Boston Marathon one year later, when runners and community gathered together once more for what would be the most meaningful race of all.
I just felt chills and excitement and shivers watching the Trailer –
As a runner and a marathoner, I am tremendously excited to see this film.
