Daily Mail is reporting that Natalie Eckert, a housewife and mom of 5 children is planning to run the London Marathon in 5-inch heels. She wants to raise money for charity, but and break a world record (for what? most blisters?). Anyway, she’s hoping Jimmy Choo or some other high-end shoe designer will come along and sponsor her.
Here’s my favorite line: Despite never running a marathon before, Mrs Eckert, from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, says she is confident of completing the race and has set herself an ambitious target of four hours. Oh heavens. She’s never run a marathon before. And she’s confident she will break 4 hours? Oh yeah, I’m confident she’ll break something – but probably a bone.
What do you think?
Here’s the article, if you’d like to read more. There’s a link there if you’d like to contribute to her cause. And here’s a photo of Ms. Eckert and her FM’s.
