An ongoing feature of Will Run For Miles is to showcase what the various hotel groups offer and emphasize in terms of fitness, such as health facilities, gyms, pools and menu selections. Prior posts focused on Hyatt Hotels and Westin Hotels.
Will Run For Miles asked Omni Hotels & Resorts what facilities it offers for fitness-conscious guests. Omni Hotels is a chain of 50 distinctive luxury hotels located in leading business gateways and leisure destinations across North America. Leisa Patton, Omni’s Corporate Communications Manager, explained that they are committed to offering excellent fitness facilities to its guests. Focusing on Omni’s Get Fit Kits and Get Fit Rooms, Ms. Patton wrote:
Here is an overview of what the Omni Hotels & Resorts offer its guests interested in fitness and staying in shape on the road. We have Get Fit Kits, Get Fit Suites and many of our hotels will offer local running maps for guests [YAY!!!!].
Omni Hotels & Resorts has offered the Get Fit Kits and Get Fit Rooms for the past ten years. The Get Fit Kits are free to guests who make the request, and are available at every property. The Kits are delivered to the guests room and include travel kit, light and heavy stretch cords and bands, deluxe roll-up floor mat, two 3-lb dumbbells, a 5-lb kettle ball and stress ball.
Get Fit Rooms are available for an additional $15 per night at the majority of Omni properties. We focus on the delivery of the Get Fit Kits as well as the loaning of a treadmill directly to the guest’s room. For example, our Austin Downtown property just renovated their suites, which includes their Get Fit suite. Their suite features an area dedicated to enabling guests to stay fit on the road with a treadmill, dumbbells, weighted medicine balls, exercise bands and floor mats.
Here are two photos of the Get Fit Suite at the Omni Austin Hotel:
And who wouldn’t like to have a treadmill in their hotel room??
We look forward to submissions by other hotels on this topic!
