HT to Maximizing Money
Oh, hello January. Time for resolutions and fitness plans. Who doesn’t remember those free toaster ovens for opening bank accounts?
In walks TD Bank with a rather creative new campaign – Fiscal Fitness.
And, what’s best is they will give new customers a Fitbit Flex (basically a cool little bracelet that tracks your fitness activity).
Here are the basics:
New customers, come in and get fiscally fit with TD Bank. . . Let us help you reach your physical fitness goals, too.
- Open a checking and savings account
- Sign up for online banking
- Get an instant-issue debit card
- Take home and enjoy your new Fitbit FLEX®
Hurry! This offer is valid through March 7, 2015 or while supplies last.
Sound’s good, right? I would love a Fitbit. But to have to open a checking account AND a savings account AND sign up for online banking? Are you kidding me? That sounds like a lot of hoops for a $100 bracelet.
Here’s what I think: There are many banks with $200 to $400 promotions for opening new accounts. Do that. Take $100 and buy a Fitbit for yourself. Enjoy the extra $100 to $300.
