UPDATE: September 2012 – although it took >2 months, I received the luggage tags. YIPPEE!
KLM is offering personalized luggage tags for free!
The website says:
Get your own personalized free luggage tags!
Ready to style your suitcase? KLM is giving away a limited number of free luggage tags, to make you stand out in the crowd. Personalize your baggage and give them a unique makeover!
But that’s not all, we’re also giving you 5 more tags to share with family and friends! Surprise them with that great picture you took from that special day, and share it via Facebook or Twitter. All for free, including shipment. Tag away!
To get your own personalized luggage tag from KLM go ——————-> HERE
When you go to “Create Tags,” the website brings you to a page where you have the option to use your facebook photos, upload your own picture, or use a KLM image. Once you do that, you select whether you want a border around the photo, and the information to appear on the front and back of the tag. Then you give your address, and you’re done.
Wow, that’s cool! I think making the tag is as much fun as the tag itself!
KLM is only giving away 50,000 of these tags, and the inventory is presently down to 48,000. Once word gets out, I’m sure they’ll go fast!
By the way, this is something that KLM offers every now and again. Thus, Gary Leff at View From the Wing, wrote about one such offer back in 2009.
Thanks to my friend Jacqueline Choi for the tip.
