I have been wanting to try CrossFit for the longest time, but haven’t gotten around to it. I run and I belong to a gym, but I have been so busy… and have gotten a little lazy about it all. (Yes, it is possible to be lazy and busy at the same time!). A few extra pounds here and there, and I’m not happy about it.
Everyone I know who has taken CrossFit classes says that they love them and feel empowered and strong, and honestly, they look great!
A few months ago a new CrossFit studio, called EVF Performance, opened literally around the corner from my apartment on the Upper East Side of Manhattan (they also have a studio on the Upper West Side). I went in there to take a look once and felt empowered without even doing anything (hey, there’s a concept!).
In my opinion, CrossFit classes are somewhat expensive. But – guess what?? EVF Performance is running a special on Gilt! There are three possible deals, 5 one-hour EVF 360 conditioning classes for $89, 10 for $165 or 25 for $325. For more details and fine print, read HERE. Still not cheap, but very doable – and, hey, I’m worth it!
The EVF 360 conditioning class according to EVF Performance’s website is described as follows:
360 is our energizing, signature strength and conditioning class: a high intensity, full-body workout, based on proven weight-loss techniques, that makes you fit and stronger. Enhance your sport or weekly workout, get lean, live every day with more ease of movements. Perfect for any level of fitness with careful guidance from our distinguished coaches.
Coaches and peers constantly welcome new students into small, intimate classes. Each day’s workout is varied and different from the day before. You will get lean and fitter by doing squats, rowing, jump rope, ski ergs, jumping jacks, bear crawls, burpees, sit-ups and more! The only thing we require is the desire for fun and fitness.
Whether we are climbing stairs, lifting small children, carrying groceries, excelling at yoga, training for a triathlon or mud race, or playing on a new basketball league, our bodies benefit from strength and conditioning. Keep your bodies strong and sharp, just like your mind! The attention given to our 360 students stands out in the industry, and we intend to keep it that way.
I am signing up. My only question is whether to buy the 10 class package or the 25 class package and whether to buy a 5 class package for Won’t Run (who’s of course already perfect, but who couldn’t use a wee bit of toning up).
(I will receive a small referral fee if you use this link– you have no obligation to use it, but it would be most appreciated if you do)
