A friend was at JFK today for a domestic flight. She was at the TSA security screening checkpoint at Terminal 4. She was flying Delta Airlines.
This is the sign that she saw at the TSA security screening point:
She said that the TSA agent said this is new rule, applicable to all passengers, and that it just began today. She told me that she does not have TSA-Pre or Global Entry and that she was not flying First or Business Class. I grilled her a second time. She again said no, she was not on a TSA-pre line.
So, either: (1) there is something new in the works, (2) my friend is mistaken, or (3) the TSA agents at Terminal 4 were violating the applicable guidelines. What’s your guess? (mine is the third!)
In any event, I kind of like the adaptations made to the sign!
