Hyatt/MLife is running a promotion called Make Vegas Yours.
The email I received says: M life and Hyatt Gold Passport are giving you the chance to earn more! Register by October 15, 2014 to earn up to 3,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points after every 3 eligible nights you stay at M life Las Vegas resorts through December 30, 2014.
I was drawn to this, not because I think it’s a good promotion (I don’t), but because I will be in Vegas anyway this fall, and planning stays at MLife properties, so why not earn some extra points?
Upon closer examination, you only earn the 3,000 points after 3 stays at hotels such as Aria and Bellagio (and an additional 3,000 points after another 3 such stays). You earn 2,000 points after 3 stays at Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York, New York, THEhotel, The Signature and Vdara. And you only earn 1,000 points after three stays at Hyatt Place Las Vegas, Excalibur and Luxor. My stays will be at this last level which only earns 1,000 points. Originally, I thought maybe I would cancel and rebook my reservations as this promotion only is valid with new reservations, but I’m not sure if the effort is worth the measly 1,000 additional Gold Passport points I’d receive.
My assessment: this promotion is one big yawn. If you are going to Las Vegas soon and planning to stay at a Hyatt or MLife property, by all means register. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bet on this one.
Registration is required.
