Sanctifly is a members club geared to business travellers, which grants access to airport hotel gyms, pools and spas. This Irish company says that it is on target to be at 100 airports internationally in less than a year!
Many times I’ve tried to book Airport hotel gyms only to be turned away, often for insurance rationale. Sanctify covers the insurance which in turn facilitates the success of this program. Memberships begin at $25 per month for access to the leisure facilities at major airport hotels such as Marriott, Hilton, Crowne Plaza & Radisson.
I haven’t been able to explore this fully because I am on vacation and have only my iPhone with me. However it looks promising!
Sanctifly is currently available in several major airports including San Francisco, Boston and London Heathrow.
Is it available at FCO? (I’ll be there tomorrow)
For more information on Sanctifly, visit: www.sanctifly.club
There is an app available for both iPhone (which I am going to download now) and android.

If airports would build these out AIRSIDE they could likely charge double. Maybe some airports have. Getting on bus or in a taxi and leaving the airport grounds, even if it’s only a few miles away defeats the purpose to an extent. Getting back to the airport, rechecking security etc… can be a huge wildcard. I love the general idea however.

Hi Geoff. David from Sanctifly here. Yes, AIRSIDE airport gyms are a great idea, and are beginning to appear. We see them as future partners. Our current partners (nearby hotels and gyms) are perfect for use before or after a flight. Of course if you have a flight delay you will need to factor in the time it takes to clear security. Download the app to see all the locations where we feature.

Interesting. Looks like I’d need to be there for long enough to be able to work out before/after my flight. One question, though, is how many of these hotels have shower facilities you can access post-workout?
Karl Llewellyn says
hey,
Karl here from Santcifly – first thanks for the post! To answer your question: all of them have an independent shower and changing facilities, otherwise we do’nt partner with them. It’s basic criteria. infact, would you believe more than half our members just use us to have a shower and change ( maybe a dip) after or before a flight.
download the app – lots of details on each location.

Sanctifly are always looking to hear suggestions from travelers as to where they would like to see our partners. Unfortunately we are not yet at FCO airport in Rome for your visit tomorrow but our network of locations is constantly growing and we plan to announce new partners soon. Please let us know of any other airports where you would like to be able to use Sanctifly membership.
