I had to cancel my Singapore trip. Although I did not suffer any damage from Hurricane Sandy, my office is downtown, and was closed for the entire week before my trip. At that point, I felt I couldn’t go away for another week. Thank you for your suggestions, I’m sure I’ll go someday.
I’m going to Singapore in about two weeks. I’ve never been there so I’m very excited. I have my flights and my hotels in place, but nothing else so I’m looking to you for your suggestions and guidance.
I chose this trip quite a few months ago, when Delta had an amazing fare of about $750.
I arrive at 1 am on a Thursday.
Upon arrival, I will stay for six hours at a “transit” hotel at Changi Airport, and then head into Singapore, presumably by public transportation.
I will stay 2 nights at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, which is supposed to be a wonderful hotel.
And that is all I know so far. Everyone tells me the food is great there, to go to the Hawker restaurants, and that its a very safe city. But that is it.
I’d love your guidance and suggestions on how to spend my two days there. Your favorite restaurants and places to go, transportation, as well as any other helpful hints from your experience.
Thanks so much! I’m psyched. –>
