Star Alliance is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a worldwide mileage competition where travelers share their favorite cultural experiences for a chance to win 1,000,000 miles. Yes, I said ONE MILLION! Star Alliance will be gifting 21 lucky winners with 1,000,000 frequent flier miles to be used on any of the 28 member airlines.
How to enter:
Enter the online competition through this link www.staralliance.com/
First, select the Star Alliance program you wish to win the million miles in and enter your frequent flyer number. (if you are not a member of a Star Alliance program, you can sign up for one).
Second, upload a profile picture and an image of a favorite cultural experience, say where it was, and what it was that made it so special.
Judging will be carried out independently, by among others, Star Alliance’s 20th Anniversary partner, National Geographic.
The competition ends July 31, 2017 and 21 winners will be announced on September 28, 2017.
* Some FFPs are offering alternative/comparable prizes. Full Terms and Conditions can be found at: www.staralliance.com/
Note: contest website says that “one competition winner will be selected from each Star Alliance Frequent Flyer Programme,” so you may want to be strategically creative in deciding which program to nominate as your competition program.
I am sure this will be a very popular contest, as a million miles is HUGE. I know I’d be jetting off to Australia, New Zealand and maybe the Maldives in a nano-second . . . if I won.
(hmmm, I wonder what the tax would be on such a winning?)
If you won, where on earth would you go?
