I just returned from a whirlwind trip, which I’m calling Around the World in 8 Days. In the next few days, I’ll be sharing the details of the planning and the trip with you. I’ll keep it short, so as not to bore, but if anyone has any questions, I’ll be happy to elaborate in comments.

Cost of Flights: $271, plus $104, plus 50,000 AA miles (and tax)
Crossed International Time Line on way home, so I arrived New York before I left Tokyo.

Hotels: 2 hotels (Prague and Tokyo), 1 couch (Amsterdam)
Transportation to Airport: Subway and Airtrain (JFK), Private Car Service (PRG), Public Airport Bus (PRG return), Train and Tram (AMS), Train/ Narita Express (NRT), Private Airport Bus (NRT return).

Years ago, on a trip to Mexico, I forgot to pack a small wash cloth for my face cleaning regimen & all the hotels had only the larger hand towels & bath towels. So I went on a wild goose chase to try to find a store that carried the small towel I needed. Finally found one, but … at times simple things get complex!
