On my recent visit to Paris, France I stayed at the Park Hyatt Vendome. You can read my review of the hotel HERE, and of the breakfast HERE.
The hotel has a spa, called Le Spa, and a fitness center.
The fitness center is mirrored and filled with a complete range of state-of-the-art Technogym® equipment, including treadmills, cross trainers, exercise bikes, a cable motion system, and free weights.
My only complaint is the lighting, or lack thereof. Fancy hotels seem to think it’s cool to have sultry lighting in the hotel fitness centers. That may work for a bar, but when it comes to lighting a fitness center, please make it brighter! You don’t need dimmers in gyms! I want to see my workout and I don’t want to walk into the mirrors!
Oh look! A rare sighting of Won’t Run running!
The fitness center was spotless and offered fresh Evian water, green apples (of course), towels, headsets and magazines.
The adjoining restroom has locker and shower facilities. It was spotless, full of marble, teak and sleek lines. There was a full range of toiletries, towels and even robes.
Although I enjoyed the fitness center, I really enjoyed running outdoors. The weather was cool, but perfect for my morning runs around the streets of Paris!
Look – in the distance – the Eiffel Tower!!
Yes, life is good.
With gratitude.
